You can book a car using the Car Karlo mobile App. You may install the Android app from the Google Store.

The following are the documents to be submitted while creating your account Car Karlo App: 

  1. Driving Licence of  the Us
  2. Aadhaar Card of the User

Please fill in this form and upload your documents here. Please note, this is a one-time process for new users on the platform.

Yes, the car needs to be returned to the same location where the host had parked it.

You may book the car for a minimum of 12 Hours or max 1 month. For longer durations please reach out to our team to get the best  deal.

There is 400 kms/24hrs cap. For addition hours/Kms the following charges are applicable:

  • Extra Hrs. Rs.150-200/hr. (If informed early a revised tariff will be shared)
  • Extra Kms. Rs.5-7/Km. (If informed early a revised tariff will be shared)

You will be charged based on the following:

  • Extra Hrs. Rs.150-300/hr. (If informed early a revised tariff will be shared)

The User pays for the fuel. The Host will ensure that the car has enough fuel to drive to the nearest fuel station. The meter readings are taken at the start and end of the booking period. Any balance that needs to be adjusted will be paid back to you within 24-48 Hrs of the booking period.

The deposit amount of Rs.2,000 is used as a safeguard against any fuel difference, toll charges and traffic challans if found during the booking hour. The balance deposit amount (if any) will be refunded within the next 24-48 hrs. of booking end time.

Once a car is booked you can view the car location on the Car Karlo Mobile App.

Once you have reached the car location call on our User care number +91 886 033 5959 (press 3 for  support) our backend team will coordinate with you to remotely unlock the car.

You will get the link to the start and end of the trip checklist over WhatsApp and also on the payment summary that you have received against your booking.

The car keys along with the car papers will be kept in the glovebox.

The following are the things we expect our Users to take care of while using a booked car:

  1. Always drive safe within the permissible limits. Max speed allowed is 80-100 Kmph depending on the traffic rule in your city.
  2. Do not misuse the car or drive rashly which might cause an accident, breakdown or future damage to the car parts. Please note, your driving patterns are being tracked in the backend.  
  3. Always keep the car clean so that the host is able to have the car ready for the next  User in the shortest period of time.
  4. Do not drink and drive under any circumstance. Car Karlo or the host will not be responsible in case of any untoward incident.
  5. Do not carry any illegal substance or load during the booking period. Car Karlo or the host will not be responsible in case you are caught and face any legal issues. 

Only the person who has made the car booking is allowed to come and pick the car from the host location. In case during a long drive any of your friends drive the car, Car Karlo or the host will not be responsible in case of any untoward incident.

You may end the booking on the Car Karlo Mobile App.

Once a booking ends and we receive the end of trip checklist, our backend team will adjust any payments to be balanced off and make the refund within 24-48hrs of the end of booking period.

In case of any accident or damage to the car please inform our support team at the earliest. The support team will guide you with the next steps. 

In case the car is in good running condition, drive it back to the host location. Fill in the trip end checklist mentioning the damage. Our support team will guide you with the next steps and damage charges to be paid.

In case the car has broken down, our team will coordinate and arrange for the breakdown team to get the car towed back. Our backend team will coordinate with you if there are any damage charges to be paid.

Under no circumstances are you supposed to get the car fixed at any local garage. Car Karlo has an authorised service centre tie up across India. Our backend team will guide you through the process.

Car Karlo or the host is not responsible for any traffic violation ticket that you are charged with. Users have to pay it out of their pocket. In case there are speeding tickets our backend team will verify and deduct it from the deposit money and refund the remaining amount.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellation within 24 hours of Booking Start Time:
- Deduction of one day's rental charge.
- Refund of the remaining balance after deduction.
• Cancellation before 24 hours of Booking Start Time:
- Flat cancellation fee of ₹1000.
- Refund of the remaining balance after deduction of platform fees.
• Cancellation after Booking Start Time:
- No refund of the lease rental paid in advance.
• During Booking Tenure:
- Cancellation is not acceptable.
- Full tariff will be charged, even if the car is returned before the booking end time.
• If Carkarlo is unable to provide a car:
- Full refund will be initiated.
- If the user declines an alternate car provided, cancellation will be deemed as initiated by the user.
• Refund Processing:
- Refund amount will be credited within 2-7 working days.

Note: Carkarlo reserves the right to withhold refunds in case of suspected credit card fraud or fraudulent cancellation attempts.
